Application for enrollment in 64 hours of exterior firefighting training, March 10 - April 4 2026.

See flyer for dates and locations. Must have agency approval, PPE including either cover gear or structure firefighting gear, helmet, gloves, boots, eye protection, access to a firefighting self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with fitted facepiece and flash hood.

Students must have a valid fitness test pursuant to the requirements of their agency given the nature of the class and work. Heavy lifting (45+ or more) and strenuous activity including working off of supplied air, raising and lowering extension ladders, moving and managing heavy firefighting hoses and equipment, as individuals and teams, will be performed. Interior firefighting, including working in an IDLH atmosphere, will NOT be part of the program; however, smoke, stress, environmental hazards, sharp objects, ground hazards, overhead obstacles and other fireground dangers are inherent in firefighting and at times during fire training exercises.

You must be affiliated with a fire fighting agency and covered under their workman's comp insurance.

Agency must provide IFSTA Essentials of Firefighting, 7th edition.

Students will be evaluated with a written test and practical JPR exam.
